Selle Royal Saddle Selector has come to an end after the Product design phase that closed the two-phases contest sponsored by Selle Royal, in search for a new saddle selector and respective floor-display to be employed inside the stores.
The contest proved to be a real challenge for our creatives that have nonetheless come up with really innovative solutions and interesting designs.
In the previous phase Mauricio Aragon (aragon023) was given the first award for his comprehensive, user-friendly and well developed project, named Retail Saddle Kit, which became the starting point for the next phase. (Read more about the selection and the Special mentions clicking here).
In fact, Selle Royal made several comments about the New idea winning project as a guide for all the participants that would join the next phase to further improve it, tackling new needs and special requests.
In particular, the second phase required to design a new saddle selector that could entirely work without any need for electric plugs or batteries, in order to be easily employed regardless of the country or the local standards. Besides, a further size reduction was demanded for the measuring tool and other suggestions were given with regards to the floor-display, that was now required to be built on a modular logics giving maximum visibility to the Riding position criterion.
The participants have attentively followed the new indications and we are now glad to inform you that the Selle Royal has selected the winning project for the Product design.
Many congrats to…
