The design of a chair is always a very enticing prospect for a designer, a product that somehow mesmerises the creative urge of everyone, awakening the obedience to the call to create. It is no surprise then that your response to the Luxy Chair Design Award was welcomed with great enthusiasm, engaging 350 designers from all around the world, all part of our international community.
In fact, when Luxy briefly described their requirements, we were certain from the very beginning that a contest on Desall.com would have resulted in a great success. And so it was. Actually, it wasn’t simply about a chair, rather an upholstered chair designed with a view to versatility and adaptability to various settings of the contract sector, including hotels, waiting rooms, offices, common areas, etc.
Altogether we received 424 entries all based on the brief requests, inspired by the iconic style of Luxy while representing something new and modern.
The selection by Luxy took into consideration several criteria, all specified in the brief that included Aesthetics, Emotional impact, Degree of customisation, Versatility of use and Degree of compliance with the context of use.
Today we are glad to present you the winner of this challenging competition, looking forward to seeing the new Luxy chair soon on the market.
