WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT: we are very excited today to present you the winner of SOLO System, the contest launched by Chicco on Desall.com!
Given the great complexity of the project and the tight schedule for the designers – that included also a mid-term submission for the revision of the Client on the work in progress – the participation was reserved to the Dream Team members, according to their expertise and previous participation in similar contests.
The topic was the design of a transformable system, consisting of a GR0+ seat and frame, to meet the needs of parents and children during their activities outside the home environment. This made it necessary for the design to be versatile and flexible, addressing several technical constraints given by this product typology.
As expected, the projects submitted for the contest were really up to the expectations and Chicco had to make a very tough decision for the winner. In fact, the final selection was based on the various evaluation criteria specified in the brief, that is Compliance with the brief, Degree of innovation, Functionality/Usability, Technical feasibility and
Compliance with the brand.
